What they wanted

The narrow strip between the house and the fence never dried out. Grass would not grow, the ground stayed soft against the foundation, and the space was unusable.

What we found

Bare dirt holding water with nowhere to go, running right past the AC condensers and along the brick. A classic North Texas side yard.

What we did

Graded the run, laid a gravel bed edged with a cut-stone border so it stays where it was put, and set stepping stones through the section people actually walk. Water moves, the ground stays firm, and the strip is usable again.
