A chimney that was shedding brick and letting water into the attic. The homeowners had been told it needed to come down entirely.

The lower courses were sound. Everything above the roofline was deteriorated mortar and spalled brick.
What we did
Scaffolded the roof, took the chimney down to solid brick, rebuilt it course by course with matching brick, and finished with a proper crown so it sheds water for the next thirty years.
